Workflow 01 · Research → filming brief
Plan three posts you can actually film.
Use research to choose a direction, then keep the plan small enough to make. Here is a repeatable workflow for a creator, shop or client team.
1. Connect once and give the research a goal
Use the web workspace, or connect an OAuth-compatible MCP client using the setup guide. Share your niche, audience market, display timezone and filming constraints. Custom connector availability depends on your client and account; directory submissions remain under review.
2. Start with this prompt
Help me plan three TikTok posts for [my niche or business]. My audience is in [market], and I want times shown in [timezone]. I can film [available subjects and equipment]. Use Social Expert to research relevant content ideas and formats. Explain what is supported by the returned data and what is an editorial suggestion. Do not promise views or growth. For each of three posts, give me one clear premise, an opening line, a first-frame idea, a short shot list, a caption direction and a question worth asking viewers. Use genuine returned TikTok sound links when relevant. Ask before starting any video analysis.
3. Choose one angle before polishing all three
Check whether each idea fits what you can show. A coffee shop might compare two milk pours; a clothing shop might show one outfit with two shoe choices. Those are filming examples, not measured winners. Keep the premise you can demonstrate honestly.
Write an opening that points at something visible in your footage, then use the caption formatter for the copy you write. For an example of dated evidence and original filming adaptations, read Still Frame Signals.
4. Film, review and measure
Record a rough cut. Use the draft-review workflow if you want timestamped feedback, then make the edits in your own editor. Choose a regional posting window as a hypothesis and compare it with similar posts on your account. Keep the format, elapsed time and available metrics comparable.
Bring current research into the plan
Use Social Expert for topic-based ideas, trends and associated sounds, keywords, hashtags and regional posting windows. Add your own video draft when you want timestamped feedback.
